Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. The top five entries with the most votes from social media are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship. Interested students can enter the contest by clicking here.

Check out the Scholarship Academy, a resource for high school and college students geared towards students who are the first in the family to attend college. The Academy has workshops and resources to help students, parents, and counselors understand how to pay for college through scholarships and financial aid.

Central Scholarship provides one million dollars a year in scholarships, grants, and interest-free loans to Maryland residents so they may pursue undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, professional degrees, and trade school or career training.
