K-12 School Counseling for College and Career Readiness

The WCPS School Counseling Program is committed to promoting academic success, career guidance and skills for personal/social growth that enable all students to reach their full potential and open doors to a world of endless opportunities. School counselors serve as leaders, advocates and collaborators to help students better understand themselves and develop skills needed to become productive citizens.

College Coaching Sessions
High school counselors are available for one-on-one sessions with students and their parents to develop action plans covering topics such as college searches, college visits, applications and deadlines, transcript requests, letters of recommendation, application essays, scholarship searches, financial aid, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). All families will leave the session with an action plan.
